Antonio Mota

Antonio Mota holds a PhD in Economic Development from the University of Campinas. He carried out his research at the EHESS under the supervision of Michael Löwy. His research primarily focuses on contemporary economic history. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Brazilian Studies, where he is studying the work of Brazilian economist Celso Furtado during the final years of the military dictatorship. In 2024, he has received a postdoctoral fellowship from FAPESP. Between April 2024 and March 2025, he is a visiting scholar at the Mondes Américains research lab (EHESS).
