Samuel Poyard Samuel Poyard is an associate professor of history and geography. He is a PhD student in history at EHESS under the direction of Clément Thibaud, attached to the Mondes-Américains laboratory and researcher associate at the Centro de Investigaciones Históricas, Antropológicas y Culturales - AIP in Panama. His research focuses on the French construction period of the Panama Canal from 1878 to 1903. *** He will speak in the David Marcilhacy's interview "The Isthmus of Panama at the heart of inter-American and Euro-American relations: cultural transfers and geopolitical reconfigurations at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries" . ***
